Emsworth is the Home of the the Emsworth Food Festival the largest independent food festival in the UK. Normally held annually during a weekend in September each year the normally quiet town fills up with over 55,000 visitors buying from 120 food stalls and enjoying the free street entertainment www.emsworthfoodfestival.co.uk  The next Emsworth Food Festival will be held in September 2009.

At other times there is usually something going on.  Emsworth has over 50 voluntary clubs and societies encompassing everything from football and cricket to music and chess and all for only 9,000 inhabitants. Other Annual Events include:

22 March Emsworth Museum's first special exhibition for the 2008 season will focus on initial results of  "Uncovering the Past – Oyster Beds in Chichester Harbour"
An Archaeological Study of Oyster Beds at Emsworth.

22 -24 March  EMSWORTH ART GROUP'S 21st SPRING EXHIBITION AND SALE OF PAINTINGS
This very popular twice-yearly Exhibition of work by local artists will again take place in the Community Centre at the rear of the Fire Station, North Street, Emsworth.
Saturday 22" March , Easter Sunday 23rd March and Easter Monday 24th March 0.00 am – 5.00 pm Admission Free
